People crave for sweets because it feels good and tastes good. The body needs sugar to function properly and without it people lose energy. When someone eats or drinks something sweet they feel satisfied because their body has received what it needs (sugar) to function again. There are different types of sugars that are used to make the sweetness in food or drink including natural cane sugar from sugarcane plant, high fructose corn syrup which comes from cornstarch, and brown sugar made from processed white table sugar with molasses added for color and taste as well as flavor variations like honey which comes naturally stored inside beehives around the world. Sweet is found in many foods such as cakes, pies, ice cream and chocolate that people enjoy each day while craving them at times because they feel good tasting them but also give a person energy when they need it most so their bodies can function right away again when given what they need (sugar).
